Welcome to the

Assistive and Educational Technology Department

So many "T's"! Do you need Educational Technology (ET), or Assistive Technology (AT), or perhaps Information Technology (IT)? 

Educational Technology

ET deals with classroom technology.   Examples include multimedia classroom setups (Smartboards, projectors, document cameras, etc.),  digital video and still cameras, using technology to teach, internet resources, teaching students technology, digital portfolios, educational software (Inspiration, Smart Ideas, etc.), portable keyboard devices (Writers, Danas, etc.), and more.  We also handle desktop printers.

 

 
Assistive Technology

AT deals with technology that allows differently abled students to access education.  Examples include accessible keyboards, mice, switch interfaces, Intellitools, switches, touchscreens, software (JAWS, MAGic, Kurzweil, ZoomText, Duxbury, etc.), braille displays, braille notetakers, and more.

 

 
Information Technology

The IT department deals with servers, providing computers, networked printers, Microsoft software, email issues, internet connectivity, virus updates, and much more. IT is not part of the ET/AT department, follow the link to browse over to their homepage.
