Educational and Assistive Technology
Studio Services, Distance Education, UAAACT

The Assistive and Educational Technology specialists provide technology information, equipment and services to students being served by USDB programs.  In the area of assistive technology, ATET specialists conduct evaluations, recommend devices and software, troubleshoot and maintain equipment, and provide training to students and staff.  In the area of Educational Technology, ATET specialists set up and maintain multimedia classrooms, including equipment such as interactive whiteboards, projectors and document cameras.  The department assists staff and students in filming, video editing and DVD authoring.

The Assistive and Educational Technology department also handles scheduling, coordinating and facilitating IVC (formerly known as Ednet) events. The IVC system is a videoconferencing system for classes, meetings and more.  USDB has two IVC sites: one on the Ogden campus and one on the Salt Lake City campus.
