School Nursing

School nurses provide specialized services by giving individual attention to the multiplicity of factors that influence the health of students. The management of health includes annual screening/assessment programs, emergency care and first aid, handling special health problems, medication supervision, communicable disease prevention, staff in-service education, health counseling, and the promotion of school policies and programs for the prevention of disease and protection of the health of USDB students.
