Child Nutrition Program

Welcome to USDB’s Child Nutrition Program,

Our Child Nutrition Programs feed students at our three campus locations through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and National School Breakfast Program (NSBP).

We’re passionate about providing healthy meals to USDB students to fuel their learning and power them through the school day.

Pandemic EBT (PEBT)

Final PEBT benefits relating to the 2021-2022 school year have been issued. If your household was eligible but you have yet to receive your benefit please contact the Utah Department of Workforce Services (DWS)

The most current information on PEBT can be found at https://jobs.utah.gov/covid19/pebt/

As of October 2022 the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has released guidance to states for a potential 2022-2023 PEBT benefit. Utah’s Governor’s Office and Department of Workforce Services are currently formulating a State plan. Visit the DWS site above or contact your local office for more information.

2022-2023 Meal Service

This school year our meal services have returned to standard operation of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. USDB operates these programs with a Non-Pricing Policy meaning that USDB covers the cost for all campus students to receive meals free regardless of their Free/Reduced/Paid eligibility status.

We remain committed to keeping education at the forefront of our mission while ensuring that every student has access to healthy meals.

We also encourage all USDB student families to fill out the Application for Free/Reduced Meals on a yearly basis. This ensures we accurately capture need in our student population to maximize funding that keeps our programs thriving.

If you haven’t done so already this school year please fill out an application today.

Menu

Menus this 2022-2023 school year are changing rapidly again due to continued supply chain disruptions. Watch for the latest Menu and possible edits to be distributed through the Parent Square application.

Adult/Guest Meals

We love to have teachers, staff, parents and other visitors join us for lunch! Meal prices this school year are: $4.00 for lunch and $2.50 for breakfast.  Employee meal accounts are maintained digitally and can be loaded any time at your respective campus front desk. Simply provide an online payment receipt copy or pay at the desk with cash or check. Guests can obtain a one time meal code also by visiting a front desk at Ogden Admin, OEC, JMS, or Springville EDS. Online payment receipt, cash, or check accepted. Ready to load your meal account or get a guest meal code? Purchase meals through our secure payment portal here:

Dietary Needs

If your student has distinct dietary needs we want to accommodate them whenever possible. Please fill out our Special Diets Form and return to a nurse, your student’s school director, or a cafeteria supervisor. It’s also helpful to include the Medical Authority Checklist to elaborate on what your student can eat so we can ensure we’re providing great alternatives to meal components as necessary.    (For word versions of the above links, request from David Heath.)
